The soul at peace and its journey back to the Lord

Dr. AbouSeif reflected on Surah al-Fajr and the address to the soul: ﴿يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ ارْجِعِي إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي﴾.[1]
The journey and its last destination
He spoke of the road as a series of steps. The soul must pass through each of them, one after another, over time, but the final destination is ﴿ارْجِعِي إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ﴾, back to your Lord. Along the way he recalled that it is by the remembrance of Allah that hearts find peace.[2]
Entering among His servants
He paused at ﴿فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي﴾, dwelling on the word servants, and linked it to being with the truthful. He then spoke, in English, of a different kind of relationship between people: one in which a person calls and is answered, and the other knows his life and what is happening in it. He ended by turning to happiness and the people who reach it; the remainder of this passage is unclear in the recording.
--- [1]: Editor's documentation: Al-Fajr 89:27–30; he recited ﴿فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي﴾ repeatedly. [2]: Editor's documentation: the speaker named the verse as from Surat al-Anfal; the wording ﴿أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ﴾ is Ar-Ra'd 13:28. The text is left as spoken and the attribution flagged here.
